Steve Acquah is an Associate Research Professor of Chemistry and Director of GEOSET at Florida State University. He moved to Florida with the 1996 Chemistry Nobel Laureate Sir Harold Kroto to lead his research group on fullerenes. He has created new technologies for carbon nanotube based devices including solar cells, paper-thin batteries and hydrogen sensors. His is a Chartered Chemist, Chartered Scientist, and listed at one of the ‘175 Faces of Chemistry’. He designed the latest GEOSET studio facility at Florida State University, inviting his fellow ‘Sci Foo Camp’ alum Bill Nye ‘the science guy’ to officially open it.
