Megan Mocko is a Master Lecturer in Statistics at the University of Florida. Her focus is teaching introductory statistics in multiple formats: face-to-face, hybrid, and completely online. She studies different techniques to improve learning for students with learning disabilities, students in the online learning environment as well as teaching with technology. She has used audience response systems, statistical applets, virtual environments, and now the Lightboard as tools to improve students’ learning and understanding. Additionally, she is currently co-chair of the committee for re-writing GAISE (Guidelines for Assessment and Instruction in Statistics Education) College Report, a national guideline for instruction in the introductory statistics course at the university level.
