Attendees will get a brief introduction as to how UCF currently uses lecture capture. There are more ways our faculty want to use lecture capture than recording what happens in the classroom. Looking to the future had to be part of the selection process. I will detail our process, from forming collaborations with other units to identifying critical needs, determining which of the myriad of options met those needs, piloting the selected vendors during actual classes, and surveying all the participants to get the information required to select the vendor that best met our needs. This presentation will also:
- Share a check list of features, grouped and categorized, that helped us through the initial selection phase
- Explain the thought that went into the design of the system that ultimately produced a two computer solution for security and reliability
- Present images of installed systems, explain their differences, and talk about the coordination with our in-house installation team
- Share our survey that helped determine which system worked best for students, faculty and administrators
