Indiana University has recently launched the Mosaic Active Learning Initiative. The initiative recognizes that active learning approaches can look different based on discipline, instructional goals, and class size. This new initiative works to create a rich variety of active learning spaces to meet these widely varying instructional needs—much like the many unique tiles that comprise a mosaic. This session will give specific examples of the innovative classroom designs that target specific types of learning or solve a specific problem or challenge in the classroom. Classroom designs that include interactive touch video walls, large active learning lecture classroom, and a collaborative computer lab format will be showcased. The session will also highlight the faculty teaching in these spaces and how classroom design can foster improved student learning and engagement.
This session is presented by CCUMC.
This session will be conducted as a workshop at round tables. Attendance may be limited.
