Creating an online environment that is engaging and interactive is imperative for programmatic and student success at an online institution. In this presentation, we will discuss best practices for creating an online course that will provide high-quality interaction for both the student and instructor. Specifically, this presentation will discuss:
- Identifying appropriate learning resources to promote interaction and engagement
- Identifying and incorporating emerging technologies for interactive assignments
- Engaging the student through interactive discussions
I will provide high-quality examples of the types of resources that can be used to promote interaction in the online environment. We will discuss appropriate pedagogical techniques that can be used to create collaborative and interactive learning environments. In the end, attendees will feel empowered to incorporate the outlined best practices into courses for improved student engagement and response.
