This session goes beyond “point and shoot” to provide a comprehensive blueprint for creating highly effective instructional video. The presentation outlines a step-by-step process that will help ensure that your video is both effective and accessible. Sub-topics include: video objectives, longevity, lighting, audio, the need for practice, accessibility basics, and various tools that can be used for recording. Instruction on accessibility features will include easy captioning with a transcript, including audio descriptions, and suggestions on how to implement Universal Design of Learning. Finally, participants will be instructed on ways to effectively share instructional videos, with examples of how instructional video is provided at Texas Tech.

This session will be conducted as a large-group discussion. Attendance may be limited.
