Present at UBTech 2018

Share your story as a speaker at UBTech 2018. You'll earn recognition for yourself and your institution, and you'll help advance the critical role that technology plays in higher education.

Do you have special knowledge, experience or expertise in the realm of higher ed technology? Have you led a successful project or initiative? Are you seen as an innovator at your school?

UBTech examines how technology can spark change across the campus and help departments improve on the delivery of their missions. We are seeking visionary presentations, case studies, how-to sessions, group discussions and hands-on workshops from energetic presenters who will facilitate audience interaction and peer learning.

Deadline for entries is Dec. 22, 2017. Acceptance notifications will be made by mid-January, 2018.

New at UBTech 2018: Sessions on workplace collaboration and productivity

This year, the UBTech program will include a focus on the tools and tactics that improve workplace collaboration and productivity. We're looking for session proposals about ways technology is helping teams with communication, time and task management, and decision-making. This is sure to be a hot topic at UBTech!

UBTech program themes

  • AV Integration (device implementations, system adoptions, maintenance and support, training)
  • Active Classroom (space planning for collaborative learning, and strategies for their effective design and use)
  • Instructional Technology (flipped classrooms, online/remote instruction, academic video, course delivery, teaching/learning apps)
  • Campus IT (networks, cloud and enterprise computing, virtualization, storage, data management, website management, help desk)
  • Cybersecurity (ransomware and other attack types, prevention and awareness efforts, attack remediation)
  • Technology Policy & Practice (technology usage, data, social media, campus communication, change management, PD, accessibility, budgeting; plus: applications to enrollment, student affairs, finance and other departments)
  • Workplace Productivity (software tools and their uses; implementation and training; overcoming resistance)
